These terms describe the conditions for using the Skandic website and arranging a stay directly with the hosts. They are provided as realistic demonstration content for this template.
About these terms
These terms apply to the use of this demonstration website and to sample direct bookings made with Skandic Demo AS, Fjordveien 14, 8390 Reine, Norway. By confirming a booking, the lead guest agrees to these terms on behalf of everyone included in the stay.
Enquiries and booking confirmation
An enquiry does not reserve dates. A booking becomes confirmed only when the hosts issue written confirmation and any requested deposit has been received. The lead guest must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for supplying accurate contact, guest, and arrival information.
Prices and payment
The price shown in a written offer includes the accommodation and any services specifically listed there. Unless stated otherwise, transport, food, insurance, and optional activities are not included. The remaining balance must be paid by the due date in the confirmation; late payment may be treated as a cancellation.
Changes and cancellations
Requests to change dates or guest numbers are subject to availability and may affect the price. Any cancellation terms stated in the booking confirmation take priority. Guests should arrange suitable travel insurance, particularly for winter transport disruption, illness, and other events outside the hosts’ control.
Using the house
Guests must treat the house, furnishings, neighbours, and surrounding landscape with reasonable care. Occupancy may not exceed the confirmed number of guests. Smoking, events, commercial photography, and animals are permitted only where agreed in writing. Damage or exceptional cleaning caused during the stay may be charged at the reasonable cost of remedying it.
Travel and local conditions
Weather, road, ferry, and trail conditions can change quickly. Guests remain responsible for judging whether travel or outdoor activity is appropriate for their experience and equipment. Information supplied by the hosts is practical local guidance, not a guarantee of conditions or professional safety advice.
Responsibility and interruptions
The hosts will take reasonable care to provide the accommodation as described. They are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, utility failures, transport disruption, or restrictions imposed by public authorities. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
